Revolving

The door in front of me spins.

I don't know how many times it will, or when it will stop.

But I know that you're behind it.

What should I do?

Run as fast as my legs will carry me?

Or wait and see if it will ever slow down?

Is the pain that could come of it worth seeing you, feeling your embrace?

The head inside of me spins.

It will never stop, never falter

Like my footsteps as I move towards you.

I revolve, like the door.

I revolve around you.

Like the Moon revolves around Earth, the Earth around the Sun,

I revolve around you.

Unstoppable, undeniable.

But you

Like the Earth, like the Sun

Do not revolve around me.

You revolve around something more.

And I am not more,

I am only the Moon.

I spin.
